Alexithymia (TAS-20)

The Toronto Alexithymia Scale (Bagby, Parker & Taylor) assesses alexithymia — difficulty recognizing and naming one's own emotions, difficulty describing them to others, and a focus of attention on external events rather than the inner world. Alexithymia is not an illness but a trait that can be pronounced in perfectly healthy people and affects how you cope with stress and build closeness.

Before you start
This is a screening of how pronounced alexithymic traits are, not a diagnosis. Alexithymia is a spectrum trait, not a disorder; a high score doesn't mean "something is wrong with you" — it shows the zone where contact with your own feelings can be developed.
