Perceived Social Support (MSPSS)

The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet) assesses how much you feel there are people around you can lean on — separately across three sources: a significant other, family, and friends. It's not about the number of contacts but the subjective sense of "I'll be supported if things get hard." Social support is one of the strongest factors of psychological resilience.

Before you start
This is a subjective assessment of how you perceive your support, not an objective count of people around you. Perceived support matters more than objective support: one truly close person often protects you more than a wide circle of superficial acquaintances.
