Mental Health (MHI-5)

The Mental Health Inventory-5 (a subscale of the SF-36 / RAND-36) is a short screening of overall mental health over the past month: how often you were nervous, down, calm, deeply blue, or happy. It's not a diagnosis but a quick measure of psychological distress and wellbeing. MHI-5 detects both depressive and anxious manifestations, which makes it convenient as a general screen.

Before you start
This is a screening, not a diagnosis. The result reflects overall mental health over the past month. A low score is a signal for attention and for seeing a specialist, not a self-diagnosis; a high one is not "invulnerability" but a snapshot of a good month.
