Functioning (WHODAS-12)
The WHO Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (12-item version, WHO) is the gold standard for measuring functioning: how much health problems have interfered with everyday life over the past 30 days across six areas — cognition (concentration, learning), mobility, self-care, getting along with people, everyday activities (home/work), and participation in society. Functioning is no lesser a therapy target than symptoms: often it's the return to activity, not the "absence of anxiety," that shows real progress.
Before you start
This measures limitations in functioning over the past 30 days; it is not a diagnosis. High scores in an area show where health problems interfere with life the most and help choose targets for work. Functioning depends on both physical and mental health — consider both contexts.
Rate based on the past 30 days — how much difficulty each activity caused due to health problems (physical or mental).
