Social Anxiety (SPIN)
The Social Phobia Inventory (Connor et al.) is the most popular screen for social anxiety disorder: it assesses three cores — fear (of public situations, criticism, authority figures), avoidance (of conversations, speaking, attention), and physiological reactions (blushing, sweating, heart racing, trembling) in social situations. Social anxiety is not "shyness": it's a persistent fear of evaluation that drives you to avoid situations and narrows life — and it responds well to CBT.
Before you start
This is a screen of social anxiety over the past week, not a diagnosis. Social anxiety is not "shyness" or a character trait, but a persistent fear of evaluation that narrows life and responds well to work. The measurement shows how pronounced the symptoms are right now.
Rate based on the past week — how much each statement applied to you.
