Attachment Style in Adult Relationships

The Adult Attachment Scale (Collins & Read, 1990) describes three dimensions along which we build close relationships: comfort with closeness (Close), trust in others (Depend), and anxiety about connection (Anxiety). It's not a "right/wrong" style but a habitual way of being close to people — it forms early, yet it can gently change.

The result describes your typical tendencies in close relationships — it is not a diagnosis or a label. Any style works in some relationships and creates difficulties in others. If relationships feel heavy, that's a reason to talk to a psychologist.
